From the Raikot bridge on the Karakorum Highway a jeep able trek forks off accompanying the Diamir Valley to the Fairy Meadow, that offers easy access to an above 8000M Peak base camp and one of the world’s finest mountain panoramas with several excellent short sides trips and climbs. The jeep road from Raikot Bridge to Jehal is unforgettable with a dramatic gorge (that drops 200M), takes around 2hrs then 2-3 hrs walk to the Fairy Meadow 3300M.
Nanga Parbat (8125m) is the second highest peak in Pakistan and 9th position in the world, on the bend of Indus and anchoring western corner end of the great Himalayan Rang. This 20km long series of peaks and ridges forms a hug massif. It is solitary white appearance visible from the south for at least 100km promoted, the name NANGA PARBAT, which means “Necked Mountain”. It is also known as the Killer Mountain" of the difficulties to reaching the summit
